Malagkit tells the story of the Celia and her family whose source of income is cooking and selling malagkit (sticky rice). Celia was forced to marry Igme whom her parents got indebted to although she is still emotionally attached with Leon, the man she truly loves. She continued her relationship with him until Igme learns about her infidelity.

One day, as Igme and Leons paths crossed, they fought and killed each other. Celia, on the other hand, fled to the city to start her life anew. Unknowingly, Leons son Tiger planned to take avenges to Celia and her family. Will she be able to surpass this further trial in her life?
